Angela Mew

Angela brings over a decade of expertise in development and nonprofit fundraising, working with organizations that tackle a diverse array of issues, including environmental justice, legal aid, policy and advocacy, health, education, and youth empowerment. Most recently, she served as the Chief Development Officer for a national organization dedicated to engaging BIPOC communities, where she successfully crafted and executed a fundraising strategy that sustained a $20 million operating budget.

Her prior experience includes key roles at Elevate, the Center for Court Innovation, and the Legal Aid Society, where she significantly contributed to fundraising efforts for operating budgets ranging from $10 million to $97 million. Angela began her career at Capalino and Company, a government relations firm in New York City, and also worked in the office of a United States Senator. In addition to serving on the board of Black Excellence, Angela has also served on the Iowa State Foster Care Review Board and as the Foundation Chair of Jack & Jill of America Des Moines Chapter.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Social Sciences, pursued a graduate degree at Harvard University, and completed coursework toward a Juris Doctorate at Northwestern California University School of Law. As a consultant, she remains committed to helping organizations develop compelling, high-quality grant proposals.
