Howard is seasoned professional with over 25 years of executive experience building and leading sales and service teams in the financial services industry. As an enthusiastic entrepreneur and investor, he creates and invests in a portfolio of businesses that serve and give back to the communities that have given so much to him and his family.
Howard grew up in Helena, Arkansas and first attended college at Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on a basketball scholarship. He went on to attend Iowa State University where he completed his athletic career and received his BA in Business Administration. He helped lead the Cyclones to two NCAA appearance (91/92 & 92/93) and received two team Iron Man Awards and honorable mention All Big 8 defensive team. After graduation, Howard lived in Des Moines, Iowa for 15 years before moving to the to Memphis are for 5 years returning to Des Moines in 2016. While in Memphis, Howard received his Executive MBA (EMBA) from the University of Memphis.
Howard is active in his community having served on boards for Parenteen, The Greater Des Moines Partnership and Everystep.
He is married to Tracy Eaton and they have 3 children, Aiden (21), Harrison (6) and Maya (5) They also have two 10 year old Whetten Terriers, Max and Sasha.
When not working, Howard enjoys spending time with his family, working out, traveling, mentoring your men in his AAU program, and he is an AVID golfer.
He is excited to join the board for Black Excellence and the opportunity to help grow its impact for years to come.
